Open Studio
Weekly Pottery Classes in Whitehouse
The fall session begins the week of September 2, 2025 and runs for 8 weeks.
More openings will be announced in early August.
Experience the Zen of creating functional works of art in our spacious, professional studio. In these classes, students will learn the techniques for wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery from raw clay to finished vessel from an experienced, involved teacher.
Classes have participants of various ability from beginner to advanced. Therefore, instruction focuses on the processes of pottery and skill development. You pick the projects, we help you achieve your goals. Learning is individualized to meet each student's needs.
Make ups for missed classes are allowed by attending a different class or using open studio. Up to two classes can be carried over to subsequent terms. If you do not re-enroll, you have two weeks to make up any missed classes using open studio.
Choose the time that works best for you.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday Evening 6:30 to 9:00pm
Thursday or Saturday Afternoon 12:00 to 2:30pm
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday Morning 9:00 to 11:30am
Class fee is $425 which includes 25 pounds of clay, instruction, throwing, glazing and firing. You do not need any other supplies except an apron. Additional clay is sold at cost.
You can also purchase unlimited open studio for $100 per term.

Open Studio for Weekly Students in Whitehouse
Open Studio is available 24/7 outside of class times.
HOURLY open studio for weekly students is free of charge to make up missed classes or in addition to class for $15 per hour.
UNLIMITED open studio for weekly students is available for just $100 per term. This includes the weeks between sessions. It does not include attending additional classes, but if you miss a class, you can still attend a different class.
Both options include all firings and use of studio materials except clay which we sell at cost or less for recycled.
Open Studio for Independent Potters in Branchburg
Open Studio is available 24/7 outside of events.
Experienced potters can rent studio time for $15 per hour or $200 per month unlimited. This includes a shelf for storage, use of all studio materials, tools and firing of your pieces, but does not include instruction or clay. Clay is sold at cost. Items made at home incur a firing fee of $0.05 per cubic inch for both firings for hourly students.
